Is it possible to make up missed lessons?
We will provide a home study make-up lesson, which involves instructional materials you will access online. As a result, you will learn all the skills, receive all of the practice, and realize the full benefit of the program. In addition, all students receive a lifetime repeat privilege, so you can make up any missed classes at any time in the future. If you wish, you may also make-up the missed lesson in another nearby class. To view class schedule options, and to arrange for home-study or classroom make-up lessons, please click here.

What happens in class?
In this carefully designed program, students learn to take active control of their reading, whether academic, business, or recreational. Each class includes instruction in reading speed, comprehension strategies, study skills and vocabulary. Students see immediate progress as they apply these skills in a variety of nonfiction texts as well as an enjoyable work of literature. Students come out of program reading significantly faster, with better concentration, comprehension, and recall in all of their reading.

Is there any homework in this program?
Between the weekly lessons, students apply their new skills in their regular reading material, so the practice does not increase their existing workload. Students experience immediate gains in speed and efficiency, greatly diminishing the time it takes to complete existing reading tasks.
How long does it take to acquire these skills?
The program is conducted in a workshop format, which emphasizes in-class application and practice under the guidance of an experienced instructor. You can expect to see speed, comprehension, and retention gains during the first lesson. These gains will increase as the program progresses.

Will this class add to my workload?
No. This class will decrease your workload. Most students double their reading speed during the first or second lesson. You will not need to read or study additional materials for this class, because homework consists of applying the skills and strategies learned in class to your regular school, work, or personal reading.
